NGC 4800 is a spiral dwarf galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 43 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered on April 1, 1788 by William Herschel .
