NGC 4735 is a 14.6 mag bright bar-spiral galaxy with a high rate of star formation of the Hubble type “SBbc” in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 288 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 50,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4738 and NGC 4793 , among others .
The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on May 9, 1885 .
