NGC 4714 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 186 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years across.
The galaxies NGC 4722 , NGC 4723 , NGC 4748 , IC 3834 are located in the same area of the sky .
The property was bought on March 27, 1786 by William Herschel .
