NGC 4707 is a spiral dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type Sm in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky with an irregular appearance of the spiral arms and without bulges . It is an estimated 25 million light years from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light years across.
The object was discovered on April 26, 1789 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "small, stellar".
