NGC 4774 , also known as the Kidney Bean Galaxy , is a 14.3 mag bright ring galaxy of the Hubble-type "Ring" with an almost completely absent bulge . It can be found in the constellation of the hounds . It is estimated to be 376 million light years from the Milky Way and has a disk diameter of around 65,000 ly.

The object was discovered on March 17, 1787 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "eF, vS".
