Daniel O'Donoghue

Daniel "Danny" O'Donoghue (born October 3, 1980 in Dublin , actually Daniel John Mark Luke O'Donoghue ) is an Irish singer and songwriter for the band The Script . His parents are of Irish descent but his grandfather has Greek roots. His family has lived in Ireland for three generations . He was a jury member and coach for the first two seasons of the British singing talent show The Voice UK , which airs on BBC One .

Career

Mytown

Danny was a member of the band Mytown in the late 1990s . The band signed a contract with Universal Records in 1999 for $ 15 million. He also worked as a producer in the United States with current bandmate Mark Sheehan.

The Script

In 2001, Danny and Mark founded the band The Script together with drummer Glen Power, who is also from Dublin .
