The company NextEra Energy Resources (NRE) refers to the Group's own power plant division of the United States and Canada industry companies operating NextEra Energy . It specializes in the planning, project planning and operational management of energy generation plants, primarily in the field of renewable energies . The story goes back to the founding of ESI Energy in 1985. In 1998 FPL Energy was created from this . On January 7, 2009, the name was finally changed to NextEra Energy Resources, LLC.

The main industry focus of the company is on energy generation in the wind energy business area (58%), followed by energy from gas power (20%) and nuclear power plants (14%).

The company owns the Seabrook , Duane Arnold and Point Beach nuclear power plants and, through its subsidiary Florida Power & Light, of Saint Lucie and Turkey Point . NextEra also has 13 gas incinerators. At the beginning of 2015, the total installed capacity of all power plants was 19,538 GW

The company employs an estimated 4,700 people.
