Jytte-Merle Böhrnsen (born January 5, 1984 in Hamburg ) is a German actress and screenwriter .

Life

At the age of seven, Böhrnsen was on the stage of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. Since then she has appeared in many roles. From 2004 appearances in film and television productions were added.

From 2001 to 2002 she studied for one year at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York . In addition to acting, she also studied singing there . In 2004 she graduated from Luisen-Gymnasium Bergedorf.

In 2012 she made her debut as a theater director in the small theater Schillerstrasse (kTS for short) in Geesthacht and staged the play Eine Sommernacht by David Greig (German by Barbara Christ ). At the Bavarian Film Prize in 2018 she was awarded the Young Producer Prize for Just once please everything .

Böhrnsen has been married to director Tobias Wiemann since October 2013 , with whom she has one child.
