Conni & Co 2 - The Secret of T-Rex is a German children's film from 2017. It is the sequel to the 2016 film Conni & Co and after this the second based on the Conni children 's book series published by Carlsen Verlag . Emma Schweiger can be seen in the title role , Til Schweiger acts as director, producer and supporting actor. The film was released on April 20, 2017.

The former school director Möller has been elected mayor of Neustadt. Now he is planning to build a hotel on the natural New Town Rabbit Island. Conni and her friends try to prevent this. They seem to succeed when they find a dinosaur bone on the island. But then it disappears without a trace.

The film was produced by Producers at Work , Barefoot Films , and Warner Bros. Film Production Germany  . The Hessian Film Fund supported the project with 360,000 euros.

The shooting took place in the summer of 2016 under the working title Conni & Co 2 - Save the Rabbit Island in Marburg , Brandenburg an der Havel and Berlin , among others . In Berlin, the film was shot on Pfaueninsel and in Brandenburg on Rabbit Island in Breitlingsee . In Marburg, among other things, the premises of a student union served as a backdrop for the mayor's office.

The film premiered on April 9, 2017 at the Sony Center in Berlin.
