Bjarne Ingmar Mädel (born March 12, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and director .

Life

Mädel spent his childhood in Reinbek . As a teenager he lived in a gated community in Nigeria for several years because his father worked there as a civil engineer. He obtained his Abitur at the Burggymnasium Friedberg . In California , he first worked as a construction worker and then studied world literature and creative writing at the University of Redlands . As a 17-year-old he worked in the port of Hamburg for one summer .

After studying theater studies and literature at the University of Erlangen, Mädel learned the classic way to become an actor at the Potsdam University of Film and Television from 1992 to 1996 . This was followed by an engagement at the Rostock Volkstheater from 1996 to 1999. After that, he was an ensemble member at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg for five years (2000–2005). Mädel gained greater fame in 2004/2005 through the character of Berthold "Ernie" Heisterkamp , whom he embodied in the TV series Stromberg .

With Der kleine Mann, Stromberg author Ralf Husmann gave girls their own comedy series tailored to their needs. The series ran from March 2009 on ProSieben . After completing the fourth season of Stromberg at the end of May 2009, girls started shooting the second season of Mord mit Aussicht (ARD).

From 2011 to 2018 he played the lead role in the series Der Tatortreiniger Heiko "Schotty" Schotte , a Hamburg crime scene cleaner that removes traces and residues from human corpses. This series was directed by Stromberg director Arne Feldhusen . In 2013, Mädel played the role of Berthold "Ernie" Heisterkamp for the last time during the shooting of Stromberg - The Film .

Mädel is a speaker for several radio play and audio book productions and was involved as a voice actor in the comedy thriller Sightseers .

Girl lives in Berlin . He is a supporter of Hamburger SV , which is taken up in the portrayal of the title character Schotty in Der Tatorteiniger , as she is also a passionate HSV fan and also wears a blue-white-black fan scarf in several episodes.

In 2020, Mädel directed the NDR film Sörensen hat Angst and also took on the leading role as chief inspector Sörensen in front of the camera .
