Use in Hamburg ( Jenny Berlin for a short time ) is the title of a German television crime series that was broadcast from 2000 to 2013 by ZDF as part of the Saturday crime thriller. The protagonist is the detective inspector Jenny Berlin, played by Aglaia Szyszkowitz . The first two episodes Death by the Sea and End of Fear ran until autumn 2000 under the title Jenny Berlin . The next episode was not broadcast until two years later and was then entitled Operation in Hamburg . The series was discontinued with the 15th episode Murder on Board , broadcast on February 9, 2013 .

Content, characters

The young lawyer Jenny Berlin begins her career with the Hamburg criminal police. As a commissioner candidate, and later as a commissioner , she and her team clarify various cases. It was originally set up to improve crime prevention and to prevent crimes before they are committed. Her superior Chief Inspector Hans Wolfer and Inspector Volker Brehm are skeptical of the newcomer and initially reluctant to work with her.
