Content, characters

The four detective inspectors from the K14 in Leipzig form a quartet that work together on an equal footing, professionally and without tussling. Maike Riem, Pia Walther, Christoph Hofherr and Linus Roth are of the opinion that a team is better equipped to solve pending cases. An important component of their work is the use of the most modern technology. They also work with virtual reality glasses to visit a crime scene.

Maike Riem : The chief detective, embodied by Anja Kling, is the head of the Leipzig murder commission K14, which helped set up the K14. She has great search successes, is confident and tireless in action, whereby assertiveness and team spirit characterize her, as well as a great sense of justice and truth. She is always friendly and courteous to her colleagues. Riem lives in divorce, the common child lives with the father.

Pia Walter : The chief detective played by Annika Blendl is a tough young woman who shows an unyielding demeanor when necessary and is generally suspicious at first. Once convinced that a suspicion is well founded, the interrogation can be so massive that witnesses begin to speak. The death of her husband puts psychological stress on the young woman .

Christoph Hofherr : The chief detective, embodied by Shenja Lacher, has a wife and son whom he loves more than anything and who form the haven of peace after a hard day's work. His job fills him alongside his family, as his colleagues quickly become something of a second family for him. In the first case, The Long Shadow of Death , Hofherr joins the K14. The physical proximity to death is uncomfortable for him.

Linus Roth : The forensic technician played by Anton Spieker takes the view: “There can be no perfect crime because there is me.” Even if he means this ironically, the sentence cannot be completely dismissed. Roth is an absolute ace in the latest forensic technology. Virtual reality recordings made at the crime scene with its 3D scanner make it possible to beam yourself into it afterwards and to repeat the crime scene inspection. Roth, who is autistic , is also considered a specialist in physical and chemical methods.
