Schwarzach 23 is the title of a German crime film series with Maximilian Brückner in the lead role. The series has been broadcast by ZDF since 2015 . With the fourth film, which should be broadcast at the end of August 2020, the ZDF ends the series.

The Germinger family of policemen lives in the house at Schwarzach 23 , which is why they make no distinction between business and private life and their criminalistic work has no end even at lunch. Chief Inspector Franz Germinger junior is responsible for the official investigation and is supported by his assistant Karl and his sister Anna. Whereby Anna regularly exceeds her skills.

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv rated: "The secret of" Schwarzach 23 and the hand of death "certainly has a lot to do with the Bavarian mentality, the corresponding insidious understanding of humor, the actors that go with it and a narrative tone that is less ironic oriented towards broken homeland thrillers of the ARD, but is dedicated to a weird genre mix. That clears the way for chansons, greasy gangsters and wannabe stances as well as for family quarrels, cool songs, Alexis Sorbas & Western quotes or Hitchcock mother. The fact that the family motif runs through all the stories and constellations makes this blood bond crime thriller [series] narrative an absolutely well-rounded affair. "
