Rick Okon (born April 13, 1989 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a German actor .

Life

Rick Okon graduated from high school in Rahlstedt in Hamburg in 2009 and then did his community service .

From 2005 to 2010 he took professional acting lessons at the “New Talent Acting School” in Hamburg. From 2010 to 2014 he studied acting at the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University in Potsdam.

Rick Okon made his debut in 2006 on the television series Großstadtrevier . Since then, Okon has worked regularly for TV and cinema productions.

In his first leading role in the film Romeos (2011) he played the role of the transgender Lukas . For this role he was nominated for the German Actor Award in 2013 as the best young actor. In 2013, Okon played Hans, who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, in the TV film Ein Schnitzel for Everyone . In 2014 he was nominated for both the Günter Strack Television Prize and the Prize of the German Academy for Television . 2015 he stood for the Canadian series X Company in Budapest on camera and was sure at the Canadian Screen Awards as Best Actor in a guest role nominated.

Since 2018 Rick Okon has been the new investigator in the Dortmund crime scene as Chief Detective Jan Pawlak. In 2018 he shot the international event series Das Boot for Sky Deutschland in the role of Kaleus Klaus Hoffmann

He lives in Berlin and Hamburg.
