Margrit Sartorius

Margrit Sartorius (* 1974 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

In 1982 she worked with her twin sister Marie in the children's programs " Kunterbunt " and " mobil " on GDR television . A year later, the two presented the monthly children's sports program " Do it, do it, do it better " for three and a half years .

After training in ballet , Margrit Sartorius passed the entrance exam at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig in the summer of 1993 , where she studied for four years. First roles followed at the Dresden State Theater (studio) as Esperanza / Lolita in Vallejo's “ Burning Darkness ”, as the Polish maid Piperkarcka in Gerhart Hauptmann's tragicomedyDie Ratten ” and in Heiner Müller's dramaPhiloktet ” in the role of Neoptolemos .

After completing her acting studies, she played the lead role in the play " Zayre " in Gotha at the reopening of Europe's oldest baroque theater . During her engagement at the State Theaters of Saxony in 1997 she played among others as Rosalind in “ As You Like It ”, as Pippi Longstocking , as Marjorie in “ Extremities ”. She had other theater engagements in Berlin at Theater 89 and in the theater projects “Lulu” in Italy and “ Mauser ” in France .

In 2008 she danced, sang and played in the piece "Dreams" at the " Festival International de Dansa " in Barcelona . In addition to her stage work, Margrit Sartorius has been on television since 1995 through her first leading roles in the four-part film “ Wozu denn Eltern ” and in the ZDF television film “ Stormy Summer ”.

Sartorius has been married to Siemen Rühaak since 2009 .
