Michael Wenning (* 1965 in Leverkusen ) is a German director and former journalist .

In the late 1980s and 1990s Michael Wenning first worked as a journalist. Then he and his family moved to Washington, DC In 2007 they came back to Berlin .

Michael Wenning began his career as a freelance reporter and reported from the crisis areas in Angola and Burma . The reporter was for ARD for ten years, making international contributions such as the Gulf War , the Rodney King trial in Chicago, and domestic German stories with a political background.
