Bettina Woernle

Bettina Woernle (born November 24, 1948 in Stuttgart ) is a German freelance screenwriter and director .

Life

Bettina Woernle studied theater, film and television studies , sociology and philosophy at the Stuttgart Art Academy , the Wuppertal University and the University of Cologne . Since 1979 she has been working in the feature film sector as a screenwriter and director for film and television . Since 1991 she has been leading scriptwriting and directing seminars at the Filmhaus Köln and has been a guest lecturer for directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy since 2000 . Bettina Woernle is a member of the German Film Academy and received the Federal Film Prize for the film Sidney an der Wupper (1982) , the film volume in gold and the title Particularly Valuable . For the series Phoenixsee she was nominated in the category “Best Director TV Series / Multi-Part” for the German Director Award Metropolis .
