life and career

Claudia Garde, born in Bremen in 1966, first began acting training in London and Paris after graduating from high school . From 1992 to 1993, Garde worked in France as a theater actress at various stages such as the Théâtre de l'épée de Bois or the Compania del'Alma before she returned to Germany to study directing and screenwriting at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . Her diploma in directing it acquired in 1998 with the feature film The Man Loves ... .

At the beginning of the 2000s she started her career as a director and screenwriter with various television films and series. In addition to series episodes such as Stubbe - Von Fall zu Fall , Doktor Martin or the series Flemming , where she was nominated for the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2010 together with screenwriter Gregor Edelmann , she mainly oversaw episodes of the popular Tatort series, where she also directed various Axel Milberg episodes such as Tatort: ​​Borowski in der Unterwelt , Tatort: ​​Borowski and the girl in the moor or Tatort - Borowski and the fourth man, among other things, the Tatort episode Kindstod , which was awarded the Golden Gong and received two German TV awards.
