Bienzle and the great love is the 652nd episode of the crime series Tatort and a SWR production in cooperation with Maran Film GmbH . The first broadcast with the Stuttgart commissioner Ernst Bienzle , played by Dietz-Werner Steck , took place on January 7, 2007 on the first German television . In this episode, Bienzle tries to propose his marriage to Hannelore, which has been planned for a long time, and in the process has to solve a murder on a construction site. When Hannelore is taken hostage, it makes him think about his life.

action

While Tom Popow at the parking garage of the exhibition -Großbaustelle with a sprayer action protested against the construction project, a wheel loader and an excavator stolen from the site. Milan Popov, one of the security guards, recognizes his brother and confronts him the next day. He risked deportation if caught.

When construction began again the next day, the crane operator Jochen Heeb was found shot in his cabin. When asked about the special features of the night, the site manager mentions the stolen construction machinery. It was the third theft in the last quarter, although two more security guards were hired. Bienzle states: sprayer, theft, murder, all in one night. Has anyone taken advantage of the hustle and bustle? The guards are questioned, but since they were all chasing after the sprayer, nobody noticed the theft. It is noticeable, however, that every time the thefts took place, according to the roster, Milan Popow was assigned to the guard rounds to control the vehicle fleet.

The dead man's son is interviewed, who did not have a particularly good relationship with his father. He sends her to a friend of his father's, Stefan Ortlieb. He is an opponent of the trade fair like Heeb was in the past, but now there is no good talk of him because he sold his property and others for the trade fair construction against which they had actually demonstrated. A house search reveals a weapon, caliber 9 mm, just like the murder weapon. The forensic investigation reveals, however, that it was a pistol type of weapon that the security people use. All the guards' pistols are given for a forensic investigation and they are questioned again themselves. You know Popov and Heeb played chess together many times, but recently had a massive fight. Bienzle also interviewed Popow's brother Tom, who has a food stand on the construction site. He knows that Heeb was after his sister-in-law Kathi. The KTU also reveals that Milan Popov's pistol was clearly the murder weapon and he is arrested. His wife Kathi is devastated and, to top it all, finds Milan's resignation letter in the mail. She immediately goes to the construction site and confronts his boss. He allegedly disagrees with the termination and promises to stand up for her. When soil samples are routinely taken from the construction site and parts of a video camera are found, it is clear that Heeb must have filmed the thefts from the crane. A check shows that the construction site of the construction machinery could be seen very clearly from the crane. Heeb's account movements show regular incoming payments, which suggests blackmail .

Kathi Popow can well imagine that her brother-in-law Tom has something to do with the murder. She argues with Milan about it when she visits him in custody. He says that there has to be a DVD that can relieve him and sends Kathi to find her. Heeb had talked about it when he was playing chess with him in the cafe. Kathi goes there immediately and finds the said DVD hidden in the chess game. Since she doesn't trust the police, she calls Paul Rapp and tells him that she has proof of Milan's innocence. He agrees to come immediately. Meanwhile, Bienzle questions Tom Popow again and admits to having been involved in the thefts. To find out who is still involved, have the duty roster shown on the construction site and find out that these have been changed afterwards. The suspicion against Milan Popow is slowly being invalidated.

Kathi Popow has a small cleaning service in which Bienzel's partner, Hannelore Schmiedinger, is a customer. She is about to pick up her blouse there when Kathi watches the DVD on the PC. Tom can be recognized on it, but not Milan. But she is shocked when Rapp can also be recognized, who is just coming in. She doesn't want to give him the recordings and he brutally beats her to the ground, ties and gags her. Hannelore can just call Bienzle before he discovers her, takes her hostage and drives away with her. Since Bienzle is now personally affected, the police chief wants to release him from the case, which he does not accept. A large manhunt is initiated, but because of Rapp's willingness to use violence, they cannot intervene without endangering the hostage's life. Rapp lures the police to the airfield while he drives with Hannelore to the construction site and locks them in a shaft there. He gets his money from a hiding place and asks on his cell phone whether the plane is ready, while Hannelore can send a hidden message and Bienzle knows that they are on the construction site. After an exchange of fire, Rapp can be arrested.

Now Bienzle finally has the chance to his Hannelore to propose the marriage that had been planned for a long time, after which this episode got its title.

criticism

“Stuttgart is rehearsing the uprising - this time against the fair. But would the protesters go so far as to shoot a crane driver? The skeptical superintendent Bienzle (Dietz Werner Steck) first takes the security guard Popow (Mišel MaticÇevic´) to his chest ... Suspicious, only at the end there is a little hectic. After all: The film hit like a bomb as an advertisement for the fair. "

- TV movie

Bienzle and love , the farewell to the Swabian Columbo, turns into an unusually varied and action-packed crime scene from the state. The parallel line Bienzle / Hannelore with the friendly jerking is more than a decorative accessory this time. Repeat offenders: Huby & Griesmayr. Likeable suspicious: Maticevic "
