University of Redlands
The University of Redlands is a private university in Redlands in the US state of California . The main campus is 160 acres (65 ha ) and is located near the city center. Additional locations are in Apple Valley , Burbank , Rancho Cucamonga ; Riverside ; Santa Ana , San Diego , Temecula and Torrance .
history
The University of Redlands was founded in 1907 through an initiative of the American Baptist Church . Rev Jasper Newton Field became the first president. In 1909 the administration building was built and in June 1910 the first three graduates were graduated.
organization
The current president is James R. Appleton. The range of courses is now divided into five areas:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- School of Education
- School of Business
- School of Music
- Johnston Center for Integrative Studies
She also runs a center for European studies ( Marketenderschlössl ) in Salzburg and a teaching center for the history and culture of southern Mexico and western Guatemala, as well as globalization and tourism , in Oaxaca , Mexico.
