The California State University, East Bay (also known as CSUEB , Cal State East Bay and earlier than California State University, Hayward known) is a state university in Hayward in the US state of California . The college was founded in 1957 and is located in the Eastern Bay Area . Around 14,000 students are currently enrolled here. It is part of the California State University system.

California State University East Bay has two locations: the Hayward Hills Campus in the hills of Hayward, and the Concord Campus, which is located in Concord, California in the foothills of Mount Diablo. The oldest and more central location of these is in Hayward. In addition, the Oakland Professional Development & Conference Center in Oakland is one of the university buildings. All three locations can be reached via freeways or by public transport such as the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).

The college is accredited by WASC, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and also AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). The CSUEB sports team are the pioneers . The college is a member of the California Pacific Conference .

In Germany, California State University, East Bay is recognized as an H + Hochschule , ie the university is a state-recognized educational institution and can use the title. In Austria, the university awarded American MBA degrees in cooperation with IMADEC until 2004 .

Since 2005 the CSUEB has undergone major structural changes. A new building (Valley Business and Technology Center), which mainly houses the economics faculty, was built. In addition, a new building was built for the Student Union and student dormitories. A new sports studio was opened next to the student dormitories.
