Five middle-aged couples take part in professionally led couple conversations as part of a wellness weekend in a castle hotel .

The film was shot on the basis of character profiles without a developed script . None of the actors knew which topics their film partners and therapists would bring up in the sessions and how they would react to what happened.
The film was shot for exactly 48 hours with 21 cameramen at Gartrop Castle in Münsterland . The director himself took on the role of hotel manager.
