Jan Georg Schütte
Jan Georg Schütte (born December 6, 1962 in Oldenburg ) is a German actor , director , screenplay and radio play writer .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1982, Jan Georg Schütte trained as an actor in Hamburg and New York between 1984 and 1988. Until 2008 he had engagements at the Schauspiel Köln , the Hamburg Thalia Theater and the Staatstheater Hannover . In 2004 Schütte made a guest appearance at the Salzburg Festival . In plays such as Caligula , Liliom , Drei Schwestern or Die Frau vom Meer he worked with well-known directors, including Hans Michael Rehberg , Werner Schroeter , Jürgen Flimm and Johann Kresnik .
Schütte made his comrade debut in 1995 in an episode of Verbotene Liebe and the film Is Mouse Coming Out ?! . Since then he has worked extensively for film and television and has appeared as a guest actor in various well-known series and repeatedly in Tatort episodes.
In addition to his acting activities, Jan Georg Schütte also works as a director and author for film and radio. He usually works without ready-made scripts, but relies on the improvisational talent of the actors, as in the 2015 Grimme Award- winning feature film Old Glow - Speed Dating for Seniors or in 2019 in class reunions . He proceeds in a similar way on the radio, where Alterglow already received the ARD radio play award in 2011 .
Jan Georg Schütte has been working as a freelancer since 2000 and lives in the Seestermühe community in the Pinneberg district.
