Schleswig-Holstein Film Festival

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schleswig-Holstein Film Festival shows films from and about Schleswig-Holstein and has been taking place in Kiel since 1993 . The films selected for the competition must be related to the federal state in terms of plot, location, origin or funding. In addition to feature films, experiments, animations and transmedia projects are also included. However, a special focus has traditionally been on documentary film .

The short film evening traditionally takes place on Saturday; the film prizes are then awarded by a changing jury in the form of a ship in a bottle. The Filmfest Schleswig-Holstein (until 2013 Filmfest Schleswig-Holstein - Augenweide) has been jointly run by the Filmwerkstatt Kiel of the Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, the Verein Filmkultur Schleswig-Holstein eV (formerly: Kulturelle Filmförderung Schleswig-Holstein ) and the cinema in of the Kiel pump .

Initially, the film festival took place every two years, since 2001 annually. The festival is aimed at filmmakers and those interested in Schleswig-Holstein film. It presents works that were supported by the Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein Film Funding , which were created in this federal state or which were realized by “regional children” outside Schleswig-Holstein.
