Thomas Mürder

Thomas Mürder (born October 8, 1957 ) has been Police President of the Baden-Württemberg Police Headquarters since 2014 .

Professional background

According to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, Thomas Mürder took up the police service of the Baden-Württemberg state police in 1977 in the middle service. In 1983 he was promoted to the higher service, in 1992 to the higher service. From 1992 to 1996 he was head of Section Ia (deployment) at the Stuttgart police headquarters and head of the Northern Police Inspectorate. In 1996 he moved to the Ministry of the Interior in Baden-Württemberg. There he was head of the situation center and from 2001 head of department 31 (operations). In November 2005 he became head of the riot police at the riot police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg.

Since 2014 he has been police chief of the police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg.
