Michael Wittenborn

Michael Wittenborn (born May 31, 1953 in Bielefeld ) is a German actor .

Live and act

After briefly studying philosophy, Wittenborn learned the profession of typesetter . In 1977 he trained as an actor at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . He received his first engagement at the beginning of the 1980s in Wuppertal , after which he acted at the Landestheater Tübingen and the State Theater Stuttgart . In 1987 he moved to the Theater Basel and in 1993 to the Hamburger Schauspielhaus . After the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Burgtheater Vienna and (from 2007 to 2013) the Schauspiel Köln, he has been back in Hamburg since the 2013/2014 season.

Wittenborn gained greater notoriety through his appearances in Dieter Wedel 's multi-part TV series Der große Bellheim , Der Schattenmann and Die Affäre Semmeling . He also appeared in several episodes of the Tatort television series .

Wittenborn is married to the director and general manager Karin Beier .

In addition, he often played together with Dieter Pfaff in films such as Die Affäre Semmeling , Der Dicke or Bloch: The Lavender Queen .
