action
Karl works as a talented and professionally successful young manager at an insurance company. As part of an insurance project, his boss orders him to go to a car rental company for “market observation”. There Karl meets the bon vivant Hans and gives him the right tip to get a job at a car rental company.
Hans, who is a full-time philosopher and drives an old DAF 66 , initially annoys the introverted Karl with his constant distant and disrespectful questions, but more and more makes him perceive his own feelings and deal with them. Hans introduces Karl to his girlfriend, Stelle, whom he calls his "Queen" and who works as a stewardess . Karl falls in love with Stelle, which puts him in an emotional predicament, while Hans, on the other hand, is relaxed and relaxed about a triangular situation. The emotionally overwhelmed Karl withdraws, falls into old behavior patterns and tries to distance himself: he comes out to Hans as an insurance employee and snubs him by declaring that they have nothing in common and that they are not friends from his point of view.
Karl returns to his desk, but cannot forget Hans and his place. He longs for friendship and makes contact with Hans again. With him he would like to visit place that moved to Barcelona . With the help of a bet, Hans gets Karl to drive his DAF alone.

For the film premiere in October 2006, Daniel Brühl and Jürgen Vogel attempted to get into the Guinness Book of Records . Their goal was to set the premiere record for Will Smith , who had attended three film premieres in England in twelve hours. The film crew made the entry by attending six film premieres in five cities at the same time.
