Life

Peter Kurth grew up in Goldberg near Güstrow. After graduating from high school and serving in the army, he graduated from the Rostock drama school . In November 2004 Kurth was awarded the Rita Tanck Glaser Acting Prize of the Hamburg Cultural Foundation , and in 2014 he was named Actor of the Year by the theater magazine Theater heute .

In addition to his work at the theater, Peter Kurth regularly plays in German film and television productions, for example in the movies Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), Hallesche Kometen (2006), A Friend of Me (2006) or The Small and the Bad (2015). From 2011 to 2015 he could be seen in the Frankfurt Tatort team Steier and Mey as commissioner Erik Seidel.
