Die Liebe der Schlachter is a television film from the crime series Tatort on ARD and ORF . The film was produced by Radio Bremen and first broadcast on November 16, 2003. It is the 547th crime scene episode. For Chief Detective Inga Lürsen ( Sabine Postel ) it is the tenth case, for Chief Detective Stedefreund ( Oliver Mommsen ) the fifth in which they investigate together.

action

Sandra Wiemann is discovered dead in the bathtub by Frau Dortschy, a neighbor. Chief Detective Stedefreund takes up the investigation and not only meets the dissolved neighbor in the stairwell, but also the caretaker Walter Jehke. The butcher couple Pietsch noticed the police presence in the neighborhood during the shop and asked the customers what had happened. As if by chance , Stedefreund rings the doorbell of Helen, who is doing painting work in her new apartment with her mother, Chief Detective Inga Lürsen, one floor up. That will inevitably result in an undercover investigation ... And it actually takes less than five minutes for Lürsen to walk into the victim's apartment.

Hans Pietsch stands in tears in front of a picture of a child. "We are not lucky with our children," comments Lisa Pietsch. You are stunned in front of the table set with three services. The Pietschs lost their child Marie in a car accident 10 years ago.

The department store's HR manager confirms that Sandra Wiemann has done a good job. However, she has taken the friend of the colleague from the cosmetics department - she claims. In any case, she was more adult than she looked. That also helped her with babysitting Pauline, daughter of the neighbor Angela Sobiech.

In his slimy way, caretaker Jehke hints at Lisa Pietsch that she knows something. He thinks he has claims since they were together a long time ago. Schlachter Pietsch, in turn, confesses his relationship with Sandra. Lisa Pietsch had noticed this in the past five months, of course. She describes how she wanted to confront Sandra, but was mocked by her, also by undressing. The scuffle broke out and Sandra fell unhappy. Hans is speechless and Lisa tries desperately to explain to him that he is the most important thing in her life. In any case, she cannot and does not want to face the police. Then she talks about the one-night stand with the caretaker. The break is not over when he stands in front of the door with a rose. Lisa unlocks him and he not only becomes intrusive, but tries to rape Lisa behind the counter. Finally Pietsch hears the butcher. He tears Jehke away from his wife and throws him unhappily on the meat hook, from which he falls dead forward. Lisa locks her husband in the refrigerator so that he cannot go to the police. As if in a trance, she talks about childhood memories with her father.

Meanwhile, there are suspicions against Angela Sobiech, who may have reported Sanda Wiemann anonymously to the tax office for prostitution. When Inga Lürsen wanted to compare the types of typewriters in the waste paper container, Ms. Sobiech joined in and KHK Lürsen had to explain herself. The single mother speaks of her observations in the sausage kitchen, but also that she lent Walter Jehke the typewriter about 2-3 months ago.

The attempts to make the heavyweight Jehke disappear turn out to be difficult. In any case, Hans Pietsch cannot cut it with a meat saw. When Lisa takes all the guilt on herself, the two have been getting closer for a long time. The next morning, Lisa clings to her husband, who has doubts that they have any future. She is trying to get the well-tied dead body out of the cold room with the appropriate effort when Lürsen appears in the slaughterhouse and identifies himself as a commissioner. Lisa Pietsch reacts surprisingly naturally. When both are confronted by the alleged love affair between Sandra and Hans, they strictly deny it, but cannot convince the experienced inspectors. As a distraction, Pietsch pushes the garbage can against Lürsen's car. After looking at the damage, Pietsch's van has disappeared. Finally, the caretaker's body can be sunk in the harbor basin from a rowboat. But that brings no relief, but lets all past events with daughter Marie and Sandra come up again. Lisa admits Sandra's murder and threatens her husband with a butcher's knife. Then both go overboard.

The interrogations in the presidium do not lead any further. The Pietsch couple must be released. Inspector Zufall lets Inga Lürsen see through the window slot in Pietsch's kitchen at the very moment when Lisa Pietsch lifts her husband, who has collapsed from the rat poison, and carries it away. Lürsen is overwhelmed, but Pietsch gives up exhausted.
