The Cape Rymill is a steep rock cliff from metamorphic rocks at the Wilkins Coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It protrudes from the ice cap opposite the central section of Hearst Island into Stefansson Strait .
The Australian polar explorer Hubert Wilkins photographed it from the air on December 20, 1928 and December 21, 1935. Both were used by the US cartographer WLG Joerg in 1937 for mapping. Surveys and aerial photographs were also carried out by participants in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). The latter named the cape after the Australian polar explorer John Rymill (1905–1968), leader of the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937).
