Frank Sieckel (* 1961 in Nordhausen ) is a German actor, cabaret artist, writer and director.

life and career

After graduating from high school, Frank Sieckel was supposed to study civil engineering, but he signed up for the entrance exam at the Hans Otto Theater School in Leipzig. Sieckel was accepted and began a four-year acting course with Peter Förster in 1982 . As a result of the university's studio process, he was seen on the stage of the Leipziger Schauspiel from 1984 . There he also played in the GDR premiere of Aitmatov's The Day Moves the Century . After graduating, Frank Sieckel became a member of the ensemble, where he played in over 50 productions. His most important roles were Peachum in Brecht's Threepenny Opera , Hitler in Tabori's farce Mein Kampf and Alfred in Horvath's Tales from the Vienna Woods . In addition to his acting activities, Frank Sieckel was also a guest lecturer at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater .

Today Frank Sieckel works freelance for theater, film and television. In addition, he travels all over Germany as a cabaret artist and author with the ensemble of the Leipziger Pfeffermühle .

He is known to a wide audience through the role of "Lord Mayor Herrenbrück" in the ARD series Veterinarian Dr. Mertens known. He also played guest roles in Alarm for Cobra 11 , Tatort , SOKO Wismar and In the Name of the Law .
