The Rita Tanck Glaser Acting Prize of the Hamburg Cultural Foundation has been awarded every two years since 1996 to actors who promote the culture of linguistic design through excellent performance, especially on Hamburg stages. The founder is Rita Tanck-Glaser, who died in 1999 and took the stage aptitude test herself during her studies in order to express her lifelong love for theater and the art of acting. A jury decides on the awarding of the prizes; the prize is endowed with 10,000 euros.
