The 66th award of the German Lola Film Prize took place on May 27, 2016 in the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin and was broadcast on the same evening on the First . The German Film Prize is 2,955,000 euros, the highest prize Culture Award of the Federal Republic of Germany and is the founded in 2003 German Film Academy awarded in up to 18 categories. The event was moderated for the third time by Jan Josef Liefers . The nominations were announced on April 15, 2016.
