Christoph Müller (film producer)
Christoph Müller (born November 30, 1964 in Wuppertal , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German film producer and screenwriter .
Life
From 1990 to 1994 Christoph Müller studied production at the University of Television and Film Munich and the National Film and Television School in England. He then worked as a writer for Helmut Dietl's Late Show and Dominik Graf's Der Skorpion , and then as an executive producer for Bernd Eichinger's Harte Jungs , before founding the Munich Goldkind Film together with Sven Burgemeister in 2001 .
With golden child he produced solo album on the novel by Benjamin of Stuckrad-Barre , where Matthias Schweighofer and Nora Tschirner her screen debut gave, and the Adolf Grimme Prize winning Wholetrain , with Elyas M'Barek in his first feature film starring role.
This was followed by Marc Rothemund's Sophie Scholl - The Last Days , which was awarded the Silver Bear , the Bavarian , German and European Film Awards in 2005 and received an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film in 2006.
In 2007 Christoph Müller was brought to Senator Filmproduktion , where he was managing director for German productions until 2010. In addition to a few co-productions, he produced the hit comedy Vollidiot based on the novel of the same name by Tommy Jaud and starring Oliver Pocher , the mystery thriller Die Tür with Mads Mikkelsen and the comedy Whiskey with Vodka by Andreas Dresen , with Henry Hübchen in the leading role.
In 2010 Müller was the producer and co-author of the successful movie Goethe! with Alexander Fehling and Moritz Bleibtreu . The film, directed by Philipp Stölzl , was nominated for Best Film and Best Actor at the German Film Awards.
He produced Sönke Wortmann's surprise film The Wedding Video for Constantin Film . Christoph Müller acted as associate producer and co-writer for the UFA-Cinema bestseller adaptation of Noah Gordon's The Medicus , with Tom Payne , Stellan Skarsgård and Ben Kingsley . He then produced Marco Kreuzpaintner's Coming In , with Kostja Ullmann and Aylin Tezel .
In January 2013, Christoph Müller founded Mythos Film Produktion with media entrepreneur Lars Dittrich. The first project of Mythos is the film adaptation of Timur Vermes ' bestseller He is back .
Since October 2017 he has also been working as managing director and producer at Constantin Film Produktion GmbH.
