Molly von Fürstenberg

Molly von Fürstenberg (* 1942 in Staßfurt as Kerstin Dobbertin ) is a German film producer .

Kerstin Dobbertin was initially active as an actress in the early 1970s, but was then behind the camera, u. a. at the authors ' film publishing house. It was there that she met her future husband, Veith von Fürstenberg . In 1974 she founded the production company Olga Film in Munich with Denyse Noever and Elvira Senft.

Her productions include comedies, films by Doris Dörrie and the ZDF crime film series Kommissarin Lucas .

In 2001 she was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize for The Loneliness of the Crocodiles , and in 2008 she was honored with the Bavarian and German Film Prize for Cherry Blossom Hanami . In 2016 she was awarded the Honorary Prize of the Bavarian Prime Minister at the Bavarian Film Prize.
