Frank Kruse

Frank Kruse (born May 4, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German sound designer and sound engineer .

Life

After his first musical attempts as a child (first piano and later jazz lessons at the German School in Tokyo Yokohama until 1981), he played in various bands during his school days and in 1986, after graduating from the technical high school in Bad Oldesloe, decided to pursue a career as a self-taught profession - and studio musicians.

He has lived in Berlin since 1986, where he began studying electrical engineering at the TU Berlin , before enrolling in the clay course at the Konrad Wolf HFF in Potsdam in 1991 .

Kruse successfully completed his degree in sound engineering at the HFF Konrad Wolf in 1999 and has been working as a recording engineer on the set (cinema) and as a sound designer for films since 1996 .

His creative work is influenced by Walter Murch and the early work of René Levert (see also Godard).

He is a co-founder of the BVFT and a member of the VDT as well as a member of the German Film Academy .
