action

The 17-year-old friends Kati and Steffi are inseparable, but they live in very different circumstances. Kati's parents are overwhelmed with the upbringing of the difficult daughter, who maintains a lot of love affairs, but cannot establish a stable relationship. The good-looking Steffi apparently lives in an ideal world, she has a friend and a nice family. When Steffi happens to find out that her father is having an affair with his colleague, she is completely desperate. She spies on her father's lover and meets her daughter Tessa. She projects all her anger and hatred onto Tessa. On the pretext of wanting to bring Tessa into the band of her friend Carlos, she arranges a meeting with him, at which Tessa should audition - in the belief that Tessa is embarrassed. However, when Tessa sings very well and so receives Carlos' admiration, Steffi reacts jealously, which leads to an argument between her and Carlos.

After Carlos and Steffi have reconciled, the two of them have their first sexual intercourse, which is interrupted when Steffi's father comes home, which only increases Steffi's displeasure with her father. In order to get revenge, Steffi sends Tessa to a porn producer and lets her believe that he is a record producer and that a record deal is on the horizon. Steffi got the producer's number from her classmate Yvonne, who is now missing, but told Steffi beforehand that she wanted to run off to Paris for fear of her violent father. Kati, who is beginning to feel uncomfortable with Steffi's plans for revenge, interrupts a date with Klaus to warn Tessa and explain the motives for Steffi's actions. At the last second, she can save Tessa from being raped by the producer. Kati explains to Tessa that Steffi is the daughter of the man with whom Tessa's mother is having an affair and that she now wants to get revenge. When Tessa's mother learns from her daughter what happened, she goes to Steffi's home and informs her mother and everyone present about the affair, which means that Steffi's mother leaves her husband.

After Kati found out from the police that the producer had raped and murdered Yvonne, she confessed to Steffi that it was she who told Tessa about her motives. The friendship threatens to break. Steffi takes revenge on Kati by sleeping with Klaus. Steffi's perfect world is broken. One day when she is out of school, Kati is worried and wants to sort things out. She drives to Steffi's apartment and uses the hidden spare key to gain entry. She finds Steffi lifeless with her wrists cut open. Kati alerts the ambulance and on the way to the clinic reads Steffi's farewell letter in which she apologizes for her deeds and intrigues. Later, both of Steffi's parents come to the hospital and thank Kati for saving their daughter. In the last scene you can see Kati visiting Steffi in the clinic.

Reviews

“Ambivalent action drama about two 17-year-old schoolgirls. With a sense of filmic and musical effects, the arduous path from pubescent teenagers to responsible women is traced, whereby the film with its tendency towards melodramatic staging obscures the view of the world of young people. He finds neither an inner unity nor access to the real world of the young people. The young actors alone are remarkably fresh and serious. "
