Beata Lehmann

Beata Lehmann (* 1965 in Itzehoe ) is a German actress .

Life

Beata Lehmann was trained at the Hamburg drama studio. Her stage career so far has been at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Schauspiel Bonn , the stages of the city of Lübeck , as well as the Maxim Gorki Theater and the Volksbühne in Berlin and the Théâtre du Soleil by Ariane Mnouchkine . Lehmann played in plays such as Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller , in the Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill , in Frank Wedekind's Spring Awakening , in the Antigone by Sophocles or in Amphitryon by Heinrich von Kleist .

Beata Lehmann has also been a very busy film and television actress since the beginning of the 1990s. In addition to guest roles in various TV series, she also appeared in movies, including Big Girls Don't Cry , in Ulrike von Ribbeck's feature film debut Sooner or Later , The Reader or in the award-winning film The Book Thief . Lehmann himself received great critical acclaim for the portrayal of a mother suffering from the so-called Münchhausen proxy syndrome in the 2007 television game Schattenkinder .
