Lydia Funke

Lydia Funke (born November 13, 1982 in Naumburg ) is a German politician ( AfD ) and has been a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt since 2016 .

Life

Funke grew up in Laucha and trained as a bank clerk from 2002 to 2005 . From 2008, Funke studied management of natural resources at the University of Halle .

Political commitment

In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2016 , she entered the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt . Funke is a member of the district board of the AfD Burgenlandkreis and city councilor of the city of Nebra . Funke was a direct candidate in the Naumburg constituency (constituency 42). She is a member of the state board of the AfD Saxony-Anhalt .

Political positions

Lyda Funke is one of the first signatories of the Erfurt resolution , the position paper of the far-right wing of the AfD, which has been observed by the constitution protection authorities since 2019 .

Reduction in unemployment benefit II

In an interview with the ZDF magazine Frontal 21 , Funke was asked how her party wanted to achieve the greater gap between wages and social benefits required in the election manifesto for the state elections. When asked whether the minimum wage should be increased or unemployment benefit II ("Hartz IV") should be reduced, Funke advocated the "lowering of Hartz IV logically in order to demand that people go back to work".

Delinquent foreigners

At a demonstration, Funke said about foreigners who have committed criminal offenses: "We will not check whether foreigners who have committed criminal offenses will be expelled, we will kick them out."

Defamation of the political opponent

Funke described political opponents in the election campaign as “ journeymen without a fatherland ”.
