Since 2014, the German Film Prize has been awarding an undoped " Lola " in the category with the most popular film . The award goes to the German film with the most cinema viewers in the evaluation period without a voting procedure. This prize replaced earlier versions of an audience award , which was awarded from 1999 to 2005, and again in 2013 (that year with online voting).
