Fack ju Göhte 2

Fack ju Göhte 3 (also Final Fack ) is a German comedy film by the director and screenwriter Bora Drachtkin . The film is a sequel to Fack ju Göhte (2013) and Fack ju Göhte 2 (2015). It is the last part of the Fack-ju-Göhte film series .

action

The film starts some time after the events of Fack ju Göhte 2 . Lisi has since left Zeki and lives in England. Zeki, on the other hand, is still a teacher at the Goethe Comprehensive School, where he tries to prepare class 11b for the upcoming Abitur. However, after the students were given miserable future prospects in a career choice test at the career information center , their motivation, which was not great anyway, sank to zero. In addition, during an inspection of the school by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the catastrophic conditions prevailing there are revealed. The responsible clerk Eckhart Badebrecht threatens to close the school if the situation does not improve. The improvement is to be checked in a performance test for the 11th grade - Zeki's class. Zeki in particular wants to ensure at all costs that the performance test turns out well, as Rector Gerster threatens to go to the police with his past otherwise.

Since part of his class is still completely demotivated because of the BIZ visit and shows up too late for class, Zeki has his protégés given location chips ("chipping"). He also gets elementary school students to sign their career aspirations with the names of their students. He hands out the papers and gives his class the belief that these were their dreams in elementary school. Chantal allegedly wanted to become a journalist, Danger architect or Zeynep singer. This provides a motivational boost in the class and all students try to pursue their alleged career aspiration. Chantal becomes the editor of the school newspaper Klassenfurz , while Danger tries his hand at painting and Zeynep joins the choir. The students recognize the fraud and take their revenge with a wild protest action. They also have to use massive force to introduce a sedative suppository to Zeki after he accidentally smoked a cigarette mixed with crack. When the headmistress appears in the classroom, he is still under the influence of drugs and tranquilizers after sending sentimental words about his suitability as a teacher for a teaching test she offers , which he later passes. After Zeki's speech, his students forgive him for the dizziness with his career aspirations. The whole class also tries very hard to learn about the upcoming performance test. They even turned down Zeki's offer to look at the solutions for the test that he had stolen beforehand. Through their efforts, all students pass the performance test and are thus also admitted to the Abitur at the same time.

Chantal's relationship with Ploppi threatens to fail because he is incapable of physical intimacy with her. He tries it with computerized full-body vibrators, with which he successfully simulates sex with her, but this is spoiled by a visit from Ploppi's grandma. Ploppi finally confesses to Chantal that he is already in love with another girl named Amrei and that he has also written her a love letter in binary code , which he never gave her. This leads Chantal to go to Amrei. Due to a mix-up, Amrei and her friend mistook Chantal for another girl with whom they actually had an appointment. It turns out that the girls agreed to commit suicide through a forum on the Internet . Chantal, who does not realize this, drives the two of them to a lake in an old motor home, where they start the vehicle's engine and direct the exhaust gases into the cabin. Shortly before she passes out, Chantal manages to reach Ploppi on her cell phone. Thanks to the Chantal tracking chip, Ploppi and the hastily initiated Zeki manage to save the three girls just in time. The case is covered in the media, but Chantal manages to persuade Amrei to report the events only in class . The school newspaper is suddenly in great demand and even enters into an exclusive contract with Spiegel . Zeki is also making headlines with his “chipping” method, and the Goethe Comprehensive School, as a progressive elite school, can hardly save itself from registrations.

One year later, the final event for Zeki's class takes place. All students passed their Abitur more or less well. In a voice-over from Chantal it is explained that she is now working as a journalist for Cosmopolitan , studying Danger at an art college, Burak is going to be a police officer and Zeynep is working with seals for an environmental protection organization. Meanwhile, Mr. Müller is teaching a new class and is still in contact with his former students.

production

development

In January 2017, Elyas M'Barek announced at an event organized by the production company Constantin Film that a sequel to Fack ju Göhte (2013) and Fack ju Göhte 2 (2015) was planned for publication on October 26, 2017. Bora Dagtkin is again acting as director and screenwriter and the entire cast of the first parts is back with it. In a press release from Constantin Film, Fack ju Göhte 3 was finally officially announced and confirmed that both M'Barek and Karoline Herfurth , Jella Haase , Max von der Groeben , Katja Riemann and Uschi Glas would resume their roles from the first parts . Dagtkin said: “The secret of Fack Ju Göhte's success are the characters, so I'm really happy that the entire brilliant cast is back. We worked intensively on the script so that the trilogy ended as it began: with a lot of heart, politically incorrect fun and a winking look at school. ”At the end of April 2017, however, Herfurth announced that she would be at Fack ju Göhte 3 could not be there. The reasons are that she is "[preparing] her next directing project and therefore [needs] time".

reception

criticism

The film received varying ratings from critics.

Christoph Schröder from ZEIT criticized the plot of the film in particular and found: "Part three by Fack ju Göhte transforms the cynical charm of its predecessors into sticky sentimentality."

In his review of the film, Markus Tschiedert from the Berliner Zeitung asks himself whether Fack ju Göhte 3 is the “worst film of all time”: “With over 15 million viewers, the first two parts of Fack ju Göhte were so successful that Bora Dagtekin for the third part was virtually free rein and undertook seem to turn the worst film of the year. He delivered the conceptless script himself, he urged his actors to play as badly as never before - only Katja Riemann and Sandra Hüller do not want to succeed. "

Adrian Prechtel from the Abendzeitung München said in his conclusion: “The film [is] without a dramaturgical flow and - surprisingly - manages without a love story, although the“ Fack ju, Göhte 3 ”success is announced as the“ Final Fack ”and Sandra Hüller is as a really cool new teacher. [...] So what's left? Little. Because there are no slogans or neologisms that could become as cult as “mentally ill” or “howl, chantal!” From the original film. And where the film dares emotion or even social criticism, it goes wrong. "

The film contains "far too many scenes in which the viewer squirms with embarrassment in the cinema chair," judged Julia Bähr in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Woche . His humor lies "somewhere between a man's joke and a child's enthusiasm for bodily functions." He ends "with such a flat and cheesy message that not even the stupid sex jokes can distract from it."

Daniel Haas from ZEIT, on the other hand, calls the film a good contribution to the education debate and sees the three films together as a masterpiece.
