Julia Bähr

Julia Bähr (born May 11, 1982 in Heidelberg ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

After graduating from high school, Bähr attended the German School of Journalism in Munich and also studied journalism at the Ludwig Maximilians University . She then wrote about literature, film, music and travel for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Focus Online and Zeit Online, among others . She has been working in the online feature section since January 2015, and since April 2016 as a permanent editor for the features section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Her first novel Who Jumps Into Cold Water, Must Dress Warmly was published in 2013 by Blanvalet Verlag . The romantic comedy, written together with Christian Böhm, tells the love story of Luisa and Mark from changing perspectives. Her second novel Be My Frog was published in 2015. She has now published a total of three novels as the sole author.

Awards

2010: Shortlist of the Henri Nannen Prize in the category of humor for the series "Icons of the Book Fair" in the newspaper for the book fair of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
