novel

In March 2016 Cameroon's first book “The youth is the most beautiful time in life” was published ( Ullstein Verlag ). The stories of his protagonist Horsti are reminiscent of Cameroon's own biography: At the end of the 1970s, Horsti, who later calls himself "Tommi from Germany", fights with his clique against the bourgeoisie and repression of the German small town idyll, is part of left-wing structures and ultimately a well-known director and musician . It's about dealing with authorities and rebellion, about the principle of deception, about the balancing act between subculture and high culture, punk and theater.
