Black Weekend is a television film from the crime scene crime series by ARD and ORF .
The film was produced by WDR and first broadcast on August 10, 1986. It is the 184th episode in the crime scene series and the 13th case for the chief detective Horst Schimanski ( Götz George ) and Christian Thanner ( Eberhard Feik ).
action
Chief Detective Horst Schimanski spent the night under the influence of alcohol in a hotel after he had to watch a young man blow himself up with a hand grenade on an office building . While he is lying there half asleep, the furniture manufacturer Heinrich Hencken is struck down with a weapon at close range in front of the hotel. While the building is being secured, the colleague Hänschen finds Schimanski. After discussing personal hygiene with Chief Detective Thanner in his car, they meet the son of Hencken's competitor, Hubert Möhlmann, at the police station. The aim of this is to protect himself against impending accusations in advance after Hencken's son, Siggi Hencken, had already uttered threats on the phone.
Schimanski observes, followed by the journalist Engelbrecht, who is also interested, then Hubert Möhlmann and arrives at his daughter's residence. There he is received by Engelbrecht and informed that he has already done research about the Möhlmann company and its suspicious financial situation. Schimanski tells him to stay outside and meets Reinhild Möhlmann, who is also staying with Siggi Hencken, who was supposed to report to the police station. Her brother Hubert, who suddenly becomes nervous, shoots Siggi with a revolver and seriously injures him after Hencken tried to blame the Möhlmanns for the murder of his father. During interrogation, Hubert Möhlmann admits to the murder of old Hencken in his distress in order to protect his father, who is allegedly suffering from a heart condition and could have a motive for it. The appearance of old Möhlmann brings Schimanski to a boil when he begins to behave in a paternal manner.
The interrogations show that Möhlmann had poached the Henckens' employee Patzke, who is still close friends with the Henckens and manages a house for them. Vera Kapinski, the friend of Siggi Hencken, who has meanwhile died in the hospital, lives there next to him. When she tries to blackmail old Möhlmann, he beats her to death. The morning after, while Schimanski and Thanner discover the body, Reinhild Möhlmann tries to set Patzke's house on fire, whereby Mimi, von Engelbrecht's wife, almost perishes. Since Vera Kapinski was also shot with the same weapon as the old Hencken, Möhlmann senior immediately suspected this. In addition, Hubert Möhlmann's confession turns out to be false. Schimanski and Thanner learn from Engelbrecht that Möhlmann has set up a bogus company in Luxembourg in order to liquidate his company. When the old Möhlmann confessed to having beaten up Siggi's girlfriend Vera and caused the bankruptcy of his company during interrogation , he also identified the murder weapon found at Vera as his stolen Walther P38 .
During a visit to his daughter at the family home in Lieme , Schimanski discovered that she had stolen the gun from her father and that her boyfriend at the time, Siggi, had stolen the gun from her. In passing, she mentions that she knows Engelbrecht's wife, Mimi, from before. During an interrogation in the police station, Mimi Engelbrecht confesses to Hencken senior's murder because he threatened her husband and almost ran him over. Through Patzke she got to know the Henckens and was able to acquire the weapon that Siggi had given him.
