Barbara Freier
Barbara Freier (born April 22, 1948 in Essen ) is a German actress .
Career
After graduating from high school , Barbara Freier studied acting at the Folkwang University in Essen. She played at various theaters in Dortmund , Wiesbaden , Hamburg , Munich , Berlin , Hanover and Vienna .
Between 1979 and 1997 she took on several guest roles for TV series on the broadcasters ARD , ZDF and RTL . She played in the TV series St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken (1979) and Consul Möllers Erben (1983, ZDF). She gained greater fame between 1984 and 1993 through her role in the television series Der Fahnder , in which she played the protagonist's friend at the side of Klaus Wennemann . Years later, Klaus Wennemann also gave her husband in Hinter Gittern - Der Frauenknast .
Barbara Freier a. a. in Fluchtgedanken (1974), Schattenlinien (1981), Tatort - Black Weekend (1986, ARD), Peter Strohm - Der Schulfreund (1993, ARD), Freunde fürs Leben - Angstpartie (1993, ZDF), Das Double (1993, RTL) or Stadtklinik (1997, RTL). 1997-2007 she played the role of Ursula "Uschi" König in the RTL series Behind Bars - Der Frauenknast .
She has a son who also appeared in a guest role at Hinter Gittern . She lives in Berlin.
