Marita Breuer (born January 20, 1953 in Düren ) is a German actress .

Life

Breuer studied acting at the Folkwang University in the Ruhr area . Their way of working is characterized by a close orientation to the Stanislavski method , in which “the person concerned tries to evoke mental images and ideas that are associated with a certain feeling, namely the one required in the present situation. The emotional memories help to create the right feeling in the current situation ”.

Marita Breuer received her first theater engagement at the Stadttheater Gießen . She then played under well-known directors on various major stages: Among other things, Petrovna in A Month in the Country by Turgenev , directed by Horst Siede and the Fräulein in Strindberg's Ghost Sonata , directed by Ernst Wendt , both at the Schauspielhaus Cologne , Elektra in the Orestie von Aischylos staged by Hansgünther Heyme at the Aalto-Theater Essen , the Kristin in Miss Julie von Strindberg directed by Roswita Kemper at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . From 2000 to 2005 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater Aachen .

In addition to her work at the theater, she has also appeared in cinema and television films. She became known to a broader public in 1984 as the actress Maria Simon in the first part of Edgar Reitz's Heimat tetralogy . In addition to her film, TV and stage work, she also works as a personality coach.

Marita Breuer lives in Cologne.
