Christa Kremers commits suicide . She leaves her family with a mountain of debt of unimaginable proportions when it comes to light that she has acquired a damaged property that she financed with overpriced loan interest.

Since Christa's mother has acted as guarantor for the loan , her house is now also facing a foreclosure auction . The family lawyer suspects a real estate shark is doing common cause with the lending bank and begins investigating the matter.
