Dirk Martens
Dirk Martens (born July 2, 1964 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German actor .
Life
Dirk Martens has a twin brother. His parents got divorced and the father took care of the two boys afterwards. Due to his job as a mechanical engineer or managing director for various companies, the family moved frequently. In the third grade he was an actor in school performances.
He completed an acting training with Richard Süssenguth in Berlin , with Michael Mendl and with Walter Spiske in Düsseldorf . He then received theater engagements in Düsseldorf, Zurich , Munich , Hamburg and Bonn . For example, he played in the 1989/1990 season in Egmont by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg. In 1991 he appeared in Goethe's Faust I at the Small Theater in Bonn .
However, Martens achieved fame mainly through his numerous television roles. From the beginning of the 1990s, Martens took on several continuous series roles, recurring episodes and guest roles in productions such as Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei , Tatort or Polizeiruf 110 .

Martens runs a laundromat in Berlin under the pseudonym "Freddy Leck" and also sells laundry detergents through its own internet shop.
