IK1 - tourists in danger is a German crime series with comedic elements, whose pilot episode, produced by Bavaria Fernsehproduktion , was broadcast in 2011. Since January 10, 2013, the series was initially broadcast with 4 episodes.

Florian Blessing and Nadja Hansen are employees of the International Coordination (IK) department of the Federal Criminal Police Office . The two couldn't be more different. Florian is a daredevil who prefers to work alone and does not take regulations seriously. His partner Nadja is a psychologist and specialist in operative case analysis . Together they have to help German vacationers abroad who have gotten involved in difficulties there.
Production and broadcast
In October 2010, RTL commissioned the production of a pilot film . The main roles went to Tobias Oertel and Eva-Maria Grein von Friedl . The shooting took place from October 9, 2010 to December 5, 2010 in Munich and Thailand . The film was shown on September 1, 2011 in prime time on RTL .
When it was first broadcast, it reached a total of 3.80 million viewers, of which 1.88 million were in the relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds, which resulted in a total market share of 13.3% and 17.1% in the relevant target group. The RTL pilot film Die Draufgänger , which was last successfully continued as a series, gained 18.3% market share in December 2010, in May 2011 Nina Undercover - Agentin mit Kids with 16.7% market share could not convince for a series.
In early 2012, RTL announced that it had ordered four more episodes. IK1 - Tourists in Danger was the only one of various pilot films to win due to the satisfactory audience ratings. Compared to The Daredevil , the crime story by IK1 - Tourists in Danger is narrated with a lot of twists and turns, and sometimes also exciting, according to Christian Junklewitz from Serienjunkies.de . Negatively, however, the highly clichéd figure drawing and penetrating sexism stand out, so that IK1 can hardly be taken for a current production. Furthermore, the dialogues cannot keep up with those of current crime series such as Castle or Hawaii Five-0 , which alone makes the pilot look backward and provincial.
