Uwe Bohm (* 24. January 1962 in Hamburg as Uwe grandson man ) is a German actor .

Life

Bohm began his acting career as a teenager in films by director Hark Bohm . In these films he still appeared as Uwe Enkelmann. After the adoption by Hark Bohm, the name was changed to Uwe Bohm. He made three well-known films with his father: Nordsee ist Mordsee (1976), Moritz, liebe Moritz (1978) and the German-Turkish Romeo and Juliet drama Yasemin (1988), for which Uwe Bohm and film partner Ayşe Romey starred in 1988 were awarded the Bavarian Film Prize. During this time Bohm also shot with other directors, including 1982 The Heartbreakers by Peter F. Bringmann , a film about a beat band from the 1960s in the Ruhr area.

Bohm experienced his first major successes on the theater stage when Peter Zadek was artistic director at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. In March 1987 he played the title role in the musical Andi (based on the book Andi. The almost accidental death of Andreas Z., 16 by Kai Hermann and Heiko Gebhardt). Later, Bohm worked repeatedly with Zadek, so in 1988 as a cast member of the mass murderer Jack the Ripper , directed by Frank Wedekind Lulu at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and in the Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare at the Burgtheater in Vienna . This was followed in 2001 by Bash pieces of the last few days directed by Zadek in the Hamburger Kammerspiele and in 2004 Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen in the Berliner Ensemble with Bohm in the title role.

In 1990 Bohm appeared at the Salzburg Festival in the production of Grillparzer's Die Jüdin von Toledo as King of Spain. At the 2008 Nibelungen Festival in Worms , Bohm appeared as Hagen in the plays Siegfried's Women and The Last Days of Burgundy . Bohm is also known to the television audience through numerous roles in crime series and films such as Dieter Wedel's My Old Friend Fritz (2007).

Bohm is married to his colleague Ninon Held and lives with her in Berlin.
